Where do you see yourself in the next 2 years? 5 years?
In the next 2 years I see myself having one of the top Virtual Assistant Agencies in the nation. I would like to be the premier VA Agency for the African American small business owners i would also like to have around 5 speaking engagements a year where I am able to educate and inform small business owners about the importance of outsourcing and scaling – along with that I want to develop a conference (virtual and in person) for Outsourcing/Scaling. In 5 years I would like to be one of the top VA Agencies in the world along with Coaching, Consulting, Having a Mentorship and Apprenticeship program and my workshops/Conferences!
“Success to me is having financial freedom, being able to spend as much time as you want with your significant other and with family, and not having a cap on your income. Another thing for me knowing that I have 1 year worth of bills that can be paid in the event that a life tragedy happens! I know my family will be okay.”
What’s next for Jasmine personally?
Next for Jasmine personally is so many things! I do plan to hone in on my speaking platform and possibly do coaching and consulting as well. My husband and I will probably invest in some real estate and venture off into opening other businesses.
How do you handle setbacks?
I actually embrace them! We live in this thing called LIFE and with me knowing that, I know that setbacks and challenges are coming! They come in different shapes and forms but I am always trying to find a solution to the setbacks that come up in my life.
What advice would you give to that person whose business is not doing so great and wants to give up?
I would say please don’t give up. Success and Entrepreneurship doesn’t come easy – if it was easy, everyone would be doing it! The key to getting to success is having a routine, grinding (not leaving any money on the table as Jessica would say lol), consistency, commitment, collaboration and many other things. You also must be able to embrace challenges because when you are building your ship, those challenges will come. You also have to have the drive internally to want to keep pushing and once your keep your eye on the prize, remember you motivation/your why, you will soar! You can go as high as you want! You can do anything you put your mind to.
What is your take on #collaborationovercompetition?
I am huge on this! My motto and what I preach all the time is about building relationships, making connections, building long-term relationships and sharing resources and educating! I truly believe that if we all work together we can achieve so much more! Collaboration is key for me and my business – I work my networks on a day to day basis with collaborating with several other small businesses. One quote that I live by is, “Teamwork Makes The DreamWork”.
